Workin' Till Midnight is the fifth episode of Dodger the Coal Mines Engine.

Plot

Dodger was enjoying life on Sodor. At the coal mines, he had his own shed, and slept in it every night. He was a hard working engine.

One day, he was taking a train to Tidmouth, and so stayed at Tidmouth for the night.

"Huh! The Fat Controller expects me to pull the Express every night", grumbled Henry.

Dodger couldn't wait 'till an arguement started.

"Hey. You're the one who has the Express Passenger Lined Blue Livery. The Fat Controller promised you rotations for the Express before your overhaul", retorted Gordon.

"This conversation is getting better", thought Dodger.

The two big engines argued until Dodger fell asleep. They fell asleep, and the next thing Dodger knew, they were arguing.

"Shut up!", shouted James at last. "Henry, you agreed to a livery, and that's that. Gordon, stop arguing!"

Dodger chuckled as he left.

"Working until midnight. That wouldn't be so bad", Dodger thought.

Later, the Fat Controller came to see him.

"Dodger, I need you to take an extra coal train to Tidmouth. I'd take it in two so you don't get tired. It will take until midnight though."

"I can do that."

"I can't do it", groaned Dodger, as he puffed along the line in the darkness.

Henry puffed by with the night Wild Nor Western.

When he arrived at Tidmouth, he said, "I think working till midnight is hard."

And he wearily puffed to the sheds.
