The Daily LIfe of Delete is the thirty-fourth episode of Delete the Mixed-Traffic Engine.
Delete's crew arrived early one day, shortly after Henry had departed with the Flying Kipper. He had to be prepared for his 10.30 stopping train with passengers from the Little Western.
Delete went to the coal hopper for coal and got a drink of water whilst there.
"Ready and waitin' Delete," called Duck.
"Thanks," he replied, and the Guard's whistle sounded.
Slowly, but getting faster he departed.
About an hour later, he reached Barrow-in-Furness, and left the coaches and rested at the sheds.
Fourty-five minutes later, he took a train of Diesel Oil to Vicarstown, Killdane, and Tidmouth.
After that he took another rest before taking his 3 o clock evening train.
"It is nice to get a chance to stretch your wheels," he thought happily.
At about 8 in the evening, he took the stopping passenger train back to Tidmouth.
He slunk into the shed at 9.30 and fell asleep thinking how tomorrow would be.
Of course, everyday is different.
Sometimes, Delete takes the Wild Nor Wester, or takes more goods, or has to go to the Works for maintence.
But one thing's for sure, he is Really Useful indeed.
