Plot
It was about 5 o clock in the morning and the morning sun was ready to rise.
Percy asked James and Gordon, "What would you change about yourself this year? I'd say you James, stop boasting about your red paint, and Gordon stop boasting about being famous."
(Gordon and James look at each other, then wink)
"You need to stop being annoying and disturbing to the public," James said.
"Annoying, eh? I'm not annoying."
"Well, you are to us," Gordon retorted.
"Well, you two are bossy and rude."
"Rude! You're the rude one calling me rude," James scoffed.
"We're bossy to teach little engines like you to behave."
"I am well behaved, I handle my trucks properly."
(James clears throat)
"1955, crashing into a bank of earth. 1956, plunging into the sea. 1960, crashing into a brake van because of not handling trucks properly. 1972, having a box of treacle fall and hay stuck on you to look like a woolly bear."
"Hilarious!" Thomas shouted from behind.
"And last year, crashing into a coal bunker."
"Well, yeah, but, the Fat Controller forgave me and well. 1922, getting stuck on hill. 1922, get safety value burst. Oh, same year. 1923, sliding off the tracks. 1923, needing a bootlace to repair the brake pipe and ruining the Fat Controller's hat. 1923, collision with 98462. 1936, jamming you whistle value causing a loud sound, 1951, losing control of trucks and crashing into tar wagons. 1952, falling into a ditch. need I say more."
"No, no, don't!" they shouted.
"I would, but since you are annoyed I will not."
"You see, you are annoying," Gordon thundered.
"Whatever, but you two have alot to change, whilst I am perfect," Percy retorted and puffed away.
Gordon and James did have alot to think about.
Meanwhile they did that, Percy listed every accident in time order.
