Plot

Sodor was having an increase in shunting and goods work. Henry, James, and Gordon grumbled when they shunted more than just their trains. So, one day the Fat Controller arranged for two engines to help for a while. He ordered Henry to go to Vicarstown, and show them the main stations on the Main Line.

Max, is a Thompson O1, with yellow paint, and red lining, along with the number 23, which would be his number whilst on Sodor. He was a 2-8-0, and would help with goods work.

The next, was Anna, a 14xx class, number 4866. She was painted lavander for the time she would be on Sodor. She would help with shunting.

"Hullo", Henry called. "You must be the two new engines. Welcome to Sodor."

"Yes, we are the two new engines. I'm Max, and this is Anna", Max said.

"Come along, I'll show you the Main Line."

Soon, the three engines reached Ballahoo.

"Now, just beyond here are my tunnels."

"Why are they your tunnels?", asked Anna.

"In 1922, it was raining, so I stopped in the tunnels, and refused to come out. After three failed attempts to get me out, they bricked me in, and nicknamed it Henry's Tunnel", explained Henry.

"Wow", the two engines gasped.

(Screen fades, to show them arrving at Crovan's Gate)

"Here is Crovan's Gate. There is acees to the Skarloey Railway, and there are the works."

"Works?", asked Anna.

"Yes. It's where we get repaired. It also does overhauls, and rebuilds. Kevin the Clumsy Crane helps there, but we do need another engine", Henry explained.

Soon, the engines reached Tidmouth.

"This is Tidmouth, the main terminus. The harbour is right over there, and Tidmouth Sheds, are down that line."

"What's down beyond the sheds?", asked Max.

"The Tidmouth-Arlesburgh Branch Line. Duck the Great Western Engine runs it."

"Great Western?"

"Yes. Why?"

"I'm Great Western too!", said Anna. "What class is he."

"I think he's a 57xx class. Number 5741", Henry answered. "Anyway, I hope you enjoy your stay."

Max and Anna were just the thing the North Western Railway needed. They helped the workload enormously. On the day they had to go. Max was repainted BR black, and Anna, GWR green. They were loaded onto flat trucks, and shipped back home.

Max, well, he continued service on the British Railway, but was scrapped in 1963, unfortunely.

Anna, was lucky. She was preserved after being withdrawn on New Year's Eve, 1963. She is currently, at Didcot Railway Centre, awaiting an overhaul.

Henry, of course, continued on the North Western Railway. He recieved blue paint again, and began pulling the Flying Kipper. His next run with the Flying Kipper may be one he'll never forget....
