Plot
A bridge on Thomas' Branch Line was under repair. Toby stayed at the Quarry with Mavis. Thomas kept passenger services to Elsbridge. Daisy took passengers up to Knapford.
Percy was sent to help Norman at Tidmouth, but ran goods service on the Knapford Harbour line too.
"Wheesh!" Percy whistled. "Wake up, Gordon. Your train's late."
Gordon was cross when he was shown a line of dirty coal trucks.
"Just kiddin'. These are for Dodger. Oh! Here he comes."
Dodger was coupled up and then he set off.
Next, it was James' turn.
"You're to pull the Express," Percy chimed.
"Ah good! The Fat Controller knows I'm a grand engine."
(screen fades to Tidmouth)
"What're you doing here James? I'm taking the Express!" said Henry.
"No! I am! The Fat Controller told Percy to tell me to tell you that . . . well . . . I'm pulling the Express!"
"Nonsense. He's on vacation."
"Really?!"
"Alright. Henry please move to allow this train to pass," the Stationmaster ordered.
Henry had to take James' slow goods instead.
"Flying Kipper's on you tonight," Percy told Gordon.
"What? ME?!"
"Yes, you."
"Since when?"
"The Fat Controller said so."
"He's on vacation!"
"But he left his plans with my Driver," Percy protested.
"Huh!"
Edward came into the Yard the next day.
He saw the Main Line Engines needed help, so he left David to his Branch.
"He'll do a fine job, I'm sure," he thought.
Edward backed into the Sheds.
"Ah! Edward! Thank goodness, you're here," said Gordon.
"We've been expecting you," added Henry.
"We're in a tight dilemma," James started.
And they explained it.
"Hmm, well I'll settle him. But discipline will start if his tricks get too dirty."
"Thank you Edward!" the three big engines chimed politely.
"Now, I have to get my passenger train ready. James, I believe we're double heading."
(James looks at Henry and Gordon)
"Me? Oh! Right. He he. . ."
"3, 2, 1. Fire!"
"Ouch! Don't hit me!"
"Sorry."
"Is that stone? It hurt!"
"Whoops. My bad."
Percy's tricks went on until the Fat Controller returned.
"Percy, I am very disappointed in your behavior."
"Yes, Sir. Sorry, Sir."
But the next Percy was still being cheeky.
"Wheesh!"
"Please fix that bridge now!"
(Ending theme starts to play while Percy whistles loudly)
