Plot

(Henry's first season theme plays)

Henry the Green Engine uses Welsh Coal. The Fat Controller is willing to pay the high expensive bill, just so Henry can be a Really Useful Engine. But one day, he had a problem.

"You're kidding me?", the Fat Controller asked, "Right."

"No", said the Other Railway Controller. "I know that engine needs it, but we can't afford to pay for the mining of it. You could kill thousands just for that engine."

The Fat Controller knew he was right. "I'll have to tell him then. It's the least I can do", said the Fat Controller.

But he felt so guilty for that, he didn't tell him. The next day Henry puffed the Coal Hopper. His tender was loaded,... with ordinary coal. At the station, Percy had already shunted his train.

"How you doing Henry?", asked Percy.

"I'm fine. With my Welsh Coal, I always feel fine, no matter what happens", replied Henry.

But half way, Henry felt sick.

"Ugh", spluttered Henry. "I don't feel well. I feel, well weak."

"Do you think you can make it to Crovan's Gate?", asked the Driver.

"How far is it?", asked Henry.

"Just a couple kilometers", he replied.

"And we'll tell the passengers", added the Fireman. "They won't mind an Enterprising Engine being late and broken down."

"Alright. I'll try", said Henry weakly.

The Guard imediately took action. He announced, "Due to Henry's difficulty, we'll be about ten minutes late."

The Guard also contacted Crovan's Gate via Cab Radio Telephone or CRT.

"Sure thing", replied the Crovan's Gate Stationmaster. "I arrange for an inspection too."

Henry arrived where Peter Sam was waiting.

"No joke time Peter Sam", warned the Driver.

Peter Sam said nothing and waited patiently until he was to depart. Henry just couldn't make it, he stopped half-way on the turntable. Delete shunted Henry in, and Nix took his train. The Inspector looked at him and said, "It's the coal that's the problem."

"What?", asked Henry, his Driver, and Fireman.

(Closing theme plays, while camera pans between everyone)
