The second volume of Adventures on Rails consists of twenty-four stories. The first story was released on 5 January 2020 and consists of all stories released in 2020 after the first volume consists of all stories released in 2019. The final story was released on 24 December 2020.
The New Adventures on Rails continues with volume three (2021), volume four (2022), and volume five (2023). Volume six will begin in January 2024.

Trivia
- This volume marks the first appearance and first speaking roles of Merrick and Owen.
- The exact number of stories to be released was unclear at first although the Writer mentioned there would be at least twenty. Eventually, the Writer confirmed that there would be twenty-four stories by the end of December. On 20 December, Christmas at Norwich was announced as the final story of the year thus completing the twenty-four stories.
- In May, four stories were released which marks the first time that four stories are released in one month.
- Throughout the volume, Sundays were used as the main day for the release of stories. The Writer has indicated that this might continue on for future volumes.
