A Perfect Christmas is the twenty-ninth episode of Delete the Mixed-Traffic Engine.
Christmas Eve was approaching Sodor, and the engines were preparing a Christmas celebration, made especially for Delete. The engines didn't tell him about the party, but the days passed.
"We need more time, Sir. We can finish it before 11 at night", Edward was telling the Fat Controller.
"Well, the only thing to do is fake a goods train at Vicarstown at 9", the Fat Controller replied.
It was nearly nine 'o' clock when Delete puffed with his last passenger train.
"Delete. Now, there is a goods train at Vicarstown. No one else can collect it except you."
"But, sir. I might miss the Christmas party."
"Don't worry, you'll be back in time."
But Delete, wasn't sure.
"Don't worry. We'll collect the train, and puff back quickly", his Driver conforted.
"You'll still get to enjoy the party", the Fireman added.
"OK", replied Delete.
Soon, he had the goods and was on his way. He was at Knapford when he came to a red signal.
"It's nearly 11 'o' clock, and the signal is still red", Delete said.
Finally, the signal went down, and he puffed quicky away. He shunted the trucks, was uncoupled, and puffed away to Tidmouth Sheds.
"Wait, why are there no lights or even a Christmas tree?", asked Delete puzzled.
Some workmen opened the shed door, and suddenly, the lights went on! A Christmas Tree standing proudly in the middle of the sheds.
"Surprise!", called the engines.
"This, this is. Well, all I can say is, that this is the perfect Christmas."
And after the party, Delete knew he was right.
