Plot
Nix's old line that ran through trees needs to be repaired. Workmen build a line through a ravine, that is very high. They find rocks useful when they fall, but Nix is worried, they might cause a big avalanche. Unfortunely, she is right, a few days later, she is puffing to Vicarstown, when rocks start to tumble, she notices, too many. She can't reverse, so she goes as fast as she can, but the rocks bury her. Her Driver and Fireman go for helps, and soon, Terence is pushing out the rocks. Later, Thomas and Percy pull her out. Her lamp is broken, her boiler is dented, her whistle is damaged, her dome is dented, hand rails are cracked, and her name plaques are missing. Her paint is scratched and all gray. The Fat Controller decides, her other line is much more reliable, and she is happy she can keep her old line. As Thomas and Percy shunt her to the SteamWorks to be mended, they ask her how she feels, she says fine, but she never wants to run through it again.
